Workday Senior Functional Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday functional consultant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and optimizing Workday solutions across various modules, including HR Core, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Custom Reports.

  • This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the enhancement and support of Workday modules covering HR Core, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Custom Reports
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Workday configurations/solutions
  • Design and configure Workday business processes, security, and reporting to meet the business requirements
  • Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of Workday solutions
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Workday with other enterprise systems
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis to identify areas where Workday can be customized to meet client-specific requirements
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and functionality of Workday configurations
  • Facilitate training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of Workday features
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Workday solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving issues

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Workday Pro Certifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a Workday Sr Functional Consultant
  • Strong understanding of multiple Workday modules: HR Core, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, and Custom Reports
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with business process configuration, requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, testing and validation, end-user training, and troubleshooting and support

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Workday integrations and reporting
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for Workday implementations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
