Job Title: Radiology Medical Coder

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Coding: Review and analyze radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, payer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Coding Compliance: Ensure coding compliance in accordance with ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated with coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes.
  • Productivity and Accuracy: Meet daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the department.
  • Assistance: Assist in internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in radiology coding (IR preferred).
  • Coding Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes, familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies, and MIPS Coding is Mandatory.

Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced, and able to accurately assign codes for diagnostic and Therapeutic radiology procedures.
