Responsibilities
  • Strategic Academic Leadership: Develop and execute the university's strategy to align with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
  • Research and Innovation Development: Foster a culture of research and innovation by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing funding.
  • Institutional Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, overseeing the functioning of statutory bodies such as the Academic Council and Finance Committee.
  • External Engagement and Representation: Represent the university at national and international platforms, establishing partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, and industries.
  • Student Success: Champion student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development, creating a safe and inclusive campus environment.
Qualifications
  • A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution.
  • A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, administration, and management.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a professor or equivalent positions held in a university system or reputable research or academic administrative organizations.
  • Proven expertise in steering institutions towards top rankings, developing strategic visions, and leading diverse complex teams and organizations.
