IT Director

The Senior Manager, IT Applications will be responsible for the overall management and operations of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at BITS Mumbai Campus.

This role involves driving efficiency, integration, security, and innovation in technology solutions that support faculty, staff, and students.

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications including planning, implementation, maintenance, and upgrade.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
• Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.

• Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions that meet their needs.
• Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts/SLAs and ensure quality service delivery.
• Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support to enhance the usage of IT systems.

• Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals and objectives.
• Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies and regulations.
• Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.

• Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems to create a cohesive and efficient IT environment.
• Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.
