Business Value Consultant

The position of Business Value Consultant is ideal for individuals with a passion for cybersecurity and an interest in helping organizations maximize the value of their technology investments. As a consultant, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business challenges, identify risks, and recommend strategies that enhance cybersecurity posture and overall business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include consulting and collaborating with clients and internal teams to identify business objectives, pain points, and opportunities for improvement related to cybersecurity and risk management. This involves conducting financial value analysis to evaluate cybersecurity risks and measure the business impact of potential security enhancements.

A key aspect of this role is assisting in developing business cases and value-driven proposals for cybersecurity initiatives and technology investments. You will also participate in the creation of presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Additionally, you will stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices to ensure alignment with industry standards. Support for the team in executing workshops, assessments, and stakeholder interviews to gather critical insights is also required.

Finally, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying innovative approaches to enhance service delivery is essential.

  • Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with a Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
  • 8-10 years experience in Vendor side cybersecurity and/or value management experience
  • MBA or undergraduate degree in Business administration
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker)
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Internship or coursework experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, or business analysis.
  • Basic familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
  • Understanding of financial modeling or ROI analysis for technology investments.
  • Experience with Application Development in Mediafly
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+), or equivalent are advantageous.
