Job Description

As a Senior SAP BusinessObjects Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using cutting-edge SAP BO tools. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative BI solutions utilizing SAP BO tools, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Lumira, and Analysis for Office.
  • Create and manage complex universes using the Information Design Tool (IDT) or Universe Design Tool (UDT).
  • Optimize report performance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and seamless integration with underlying databases.
  • Work collaboratively with business users to gather and analyze reporting and dashboard requirements, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications.
  • Provide expert recommendations on data visualization and analytics best practices, ensuring the most effective BI solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain the SAP BO platform (SAP BI 4.x), ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to validate solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Perform platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and migrations of the SAP BO environment, minimizing downtime and disruption.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, resolving technical issues related to SAP BO, and providing comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent, with 6-8 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects tools.
  • At least two full life cycle SAP BW implementation experiences, with at least one experience in BI 7.x.
  • Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes, review release notes, and solution roadmaps.
  • Strong expertise in report development (WebI, Crystal Reports) and universe creation.
  • Proficiency in SAP BO server administration and platform management.
  • Experience with database technologies, such as SQL, SAP HANA, and BW.
  • Familiarity with integrating SAP BO with other SAP or non-SAP systems.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - Business Intelligence.
  • Knowledge of advanced data visualization tools, such as Power BI and Tableau, is a bonus.
