About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP BusinessObjects Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our business intelligence solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality, scalable BI solutions using SAP BO tools.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the delivery of effective BI solutions that meet their needs.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions using SAP BO tools (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Lumira, Analysis for Office).
  • Creating and managing universes using the Information Design Tool (IDT) or Universe Design Tool (UDT).
  • Optimizing report performance and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Working closely with business users to gather and analyze reporting and dashboard requirements.
  • Translating business needs into technical specifications and proposing effective BI solutions.
  • Providing expert recommendations on data visualization and analytics best practices.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining the SAP BO platform (SAP BI 4.x).
  • Ensuring seamless integration of SAP BO with underlying databases (e.g., SAP HANA, BW, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Conducting testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to validate solutions.
  • Performing platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Managing upgrades, patches, and migrations of the SAP BO environment.
  • Providing L2/L3 support and resolving technical issues related to SAP BO.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent and at least 6-8 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects tools.
  • At least two full life cycle SAP BW implementation experiences and at least one with BI 7.x experience.
  • Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes, review release notes, and solution roadmaps.
  • Strong expertise in report development (WebI, Crystal Reports) and universe creation.
  • Proficiency in SAP BO server administration and platform management.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, SAP HANA, BW).
  • Familiarity with integrating SAP BO with other SAP or non-SAP systems.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - Business Intelligence.
  • Knowledge of advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a bonus.
  • Understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or future BO migration strategies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for custom solutions is preferred.
  • Certification in SAP HANA or SAP BW would be an advantage.
