Our organization is seeking a seasoned and accomplished Ruby on Rails developer to contribute their expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications. With a strong command of object-oriented programming concepts and experience with PostgreSQL, the ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to work.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and ship new features using Ruby on Rails.
  • Coding Standards: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure maximum speed and scalability of applications.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Deliverables and Timelines: Take ownership of your tasks and meet deadlines consistently.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • ActiveRecord and PostgreSQL: Strong understanding and practical experience with ActiveRecord and solid experience working with PostgreSQL.
  • OOP Principles and Design Patterns: Excellent grasp of OOP principles and design patterns.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Code Quality and Teamwork: Proven experience in writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Front-end Frameworks: Experience or working knowledge of React.js or other front-end frameworks.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development.
  • Containerization and CI/CD: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background Job Processing and Real-time Features: Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and real-time features (e.g., ActionCable).
