Job Title: Software Engineering Leader

We're seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Leader to spearhead our India initiatives. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for leading engineers in developing new products and services, as well as scaling existing ones for the fast-growing Indian market.

About the Role:
  • Manage high-performing teams of engineers and managers, overseeing significant aspects of LinkedIn's products that require design, architecture, and coding.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a long-term technology strategy.
  • Serve as a role model and coach for engineers and managers, emphasizing action-oriented professionalism and craftsmanship.
  • Work closely with peers across teams to leverage a shared technical stack.
  • Lead teams in scaling distributed applications, making architectural trade-offs, reviewing code, and delivering high-quality software with speed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of relevant engineering experience and 4+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
  • 5+ years of software design and coding experience in Java or C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of management experience in building small to medium-sized teams, demonstrating growth and successful deliveries.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and working with production-grade systems.
  • Successful delivery of large-scale projects with dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Strong track record in partnering with recruiting to hire and build exceptional engineering teams.
