Job Summary

  • Premier kitchen support specialists are responsible for the preparation of special meals and substitute items.
  • The effective management of oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures is essential.
  • Kitchen personnel must accurately pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
  • Maintaining accurate food logs and monitoring the quality and quantity of prepared food is crucial.
  • Candidates should be able to communicate effectively with colleagues during busy periods and inform the head chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
  • The kitchen team relies on their ability to inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items.
  • A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure the quality of food items and prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

Responsibilities

  • Kitchen leaders are responsible for assisting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
  • Candidates should serve as a role model and adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions must be reported to management and safety training and certifications completed.
  • Candidates are expected to maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary to anticipate and address guests' service needs, speak with others using clear and professional language, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
