Job Overview

The primary function of this Structural Design Engineer position is to conduct design and engineering activities for various projects across petrochemical, oil, and gas sectors. This role involves preparing specifications, calculations, and procurement documents as per project requirements.

Collaboration with other disciplines, user departments, and clients is essential to ensure designs meet the required standards. Additionally, estimating and engineering work related to bids requires accurate calculations and documentation.

To excel in this role, a strong background in civil and structural engineering is necessary. Proficiency in software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP, and Staad Foundation is also required. Familiarity with FEM-based connection design tools like Ideastatica and working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D tools like Tekla Structure and Navisworks are highly valued skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Civil and Structural Engineering Expertise: Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Software Proficiency: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP, STAAD Foundation (preferable)
  • Design and Analysis Tools: Familiarity with FEM-based connection design tools like Ideastatica
  • AutoCAD and 3D Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D tools like Tekla Structure, Navisworks, SPR etc.
  • Analysis and Quality Assurance: Responsible for quality checks, quality assurance of reviewed drawings
Essential Skills
  • Qualification: Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Skills Required: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP, STAAD Foundation (preferable)
  • Conversant with StaadPro & SAP software
  • Familiarity with FEM-based connection design tools like Ideastatica
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D tools like Tekla Structure, Navisworks, SPR etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Architecture, PHE and Roadways
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of structural steel/reinforced concrete design & detailing of Process/non process buildings Machine foundations Pipe rack Factory Buildings etc.
  • Experience in international codes & standards is preferable.
