Senior Engineering Position

About the Role

This senior engineering position involves working as part of a high-performing team, leading project work focused on production and collaboration with the global engineering community. Key responsibilities include mentoring junior members and coaching them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare feasibility study reports that meet client requirements, reviewing them with the designated technical lead.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop design specifications compliant with employer needs, agreeing format and content, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the technical lead to define building requirements and purpose of use, facilitating detailed design.
  • Conduct detailed design according to client requirements, adhering to standard codes, QA and technical review, and sign off by the technical lead.
  • Review and monitor calculation production, including QA and technical reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure accurate information for project costing preparation and keep stakeholders informed about design progress through explanation of design decisions.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents (drawings and specifications) and review input from team members.
  • Lead the design process, encouraging the team to deliver cost-effective solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Adhere to document control and QA processes, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately, coaching junior staff on usage.
  • Manage a team of Engineers and Revit Technicians, providing guidance and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing Building Structures with significant experience in a similar role or an excellent track record.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Proficiency in technical structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Fluency in English with exceptional understanding of technical terminology.
  • Demonstrated good management, communication, and technical skills, enabling effective teamwork and independent work.
