Job Title: Data Management Specialist

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a skilled data management specialist to install, upgrade and migrate SQL Servers.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in database administration, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • You will be responsible for configuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions, applying patches or service packs and setting up maintenance plans for backups and database integrity checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation/Upgradation/Migration of SQL Servers.
  • Configure High Availability/Disaster recovery solutions.
  • Setup Maintenance plans for Backups, Database integrity check, Rebuild index, Update statistics, and make sure to run all the jobs without any issues.
  • Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts and fix them.
  • Work closely with application developers to test, configure and optimize servers based on application demands.
  • Handle database object deployment to Integration, QA, UAT and Production
  • Provide day to day support of high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases- Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve such problems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in database administration, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in scripting using perl, power shell.
  • Experience in AWS/Azure.
