Data Governance Specialist Job

Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to lead the implementation and administration of our data intelligence platform.

  • Implement and manage the entire lifecycle of data governance, from design to deployment.
  • Configure and develop custom workflows using business process management notation (BPMN) and workflow designer.
  • Integrate our data intelligence platform with various enterprise systems using APIs and connectors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality metadata and ensure data lineage is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide training and support to users on best practices for data governance.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with our data intelligence platform, including configuration, workflow development, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in APIs, BPMN, and scripting languages such as Groovy and JavaScript.
  • Experience with data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary in our data intelligence platform.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Azure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data governance certifications such as Collibra Ranger or Solution Architect are a plus.
