Job Title: Data Governance Professional

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Professional to lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role will oversee the creation of a strategic data governance framework that ensures data is accurate, accessible, consistent, and secure.

The ideal candidate for this role has a blend of data governance, data privacy, and compliance experience. They will be responsible for contributing to the development of the data governance strategy and objectives, and partnering with business and technology leaders to shape and advance an enterprise-wide data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the data governance strategy and objectives.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to shape and advance an enterprise-wide data governance framework.
  • Define and enforce data ownership and stewardship.
  • Drive data quality and integrity initiatives.
  • Contribute to data classification and protection efforts.
  • Develop and maintain governance policies and compliance frameworks.
  • Guide implementation of data governance technology systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in executing against well-defined procedures and processes.
  • Ability to create high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.
  • Foundational technical expertise, including both business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and deal with change and ambiguity in a diverse and constantly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience in data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or IT audit.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-leading data governance principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with data governance tools and metadata management.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand major data governance (DAMA) and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST/ISO).
