AS400/RPG Developer

We are seeking a seasoned AS400/RPG developer with 5-10 years of experience in iSeries/AS400/RPG programming to join our team.

  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining complex RPG applications on AS400 systems.
  • Develop strong knowledge of SQLRPGLE and Query/400 – Experience with ILE Advanced concepts (procedures, service programs, functions, free RPG coding syntax).
  • Leverage your experience with complex SQL concepts and programming, FTP concepts, and automation to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Maintain different libraries in an AS/400 environment and ensure database uptime/availability for reporting.
  • Work independently with the client team, providing technical support during testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Database, DDS, sub files, RPG III or later & RPGLE programming concepts.
  • Excellent knowledge of CL & OS/400 commands.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL/400 and other AS/400 utilities.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-wide data center environments and hands-on experience working within such settings is desirable.
  • Experience in Web services, Application Integration, or Modernization areas of AS/400 is an added advantage.
Deliverables

The ideal candidate will be able to design, develop, and maintain complex RPG applications on AS400 systems.

They will work closely with the client team to provide technical support during testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities.

Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring database uptime/availability for reporting purposes.
