Leadership Opportunity: Programme Strategy & Delivery

The organisation seeks an experienced Associate Director – Programmes to lead the development and implementation of impactful programmes.

This role involves designing, steering, and scaling programme initiatives with a focus on effective planning, cross-sectoral integration, and outcome-oriented delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Programme Planning & Strategy
    • Support the creation of long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes.
    • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to enhance programme impact.
  • Programme Management
    • Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.
    • Provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Partnership Development
    • Foster relationships with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to reinforce programme outcomes.
    • Represent the organisation in external forums as required.
  • Team Support & Development
    • Offer mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.
    • Promote a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  • Monitoring & Learning
    • Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies.
    • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • Financial & Compliance Oversight
    • Contribute to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas.
    • E nsure adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional with at least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline is also required.
