Senior Architect Position

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to lead the development of our comprehensive SaaS platform. Our solution streamlines essential operations from advanced customer relationship management and profile management to standardized test preparation, automatic grading, and real-time dashboards.

This role matters because we are evolving from a specialized tutoring platform into a modular operating system for all service businesses that bill by the hour. As we expand our product offering to include integrated payroll, proposals, whiteboarding, and AI-powered tools, this position will play a crucial role in translating high-level product vision into a scalable, maintainable technical foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate product epics into modular service contracts, data flow diagrams, and scalable system components.
  • Decide and implement optimal architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven, database index vs. cache).
  • Drive scalable multi-tenant architecture for user/workspace models and complex permission systems.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Demonstrated success in designing multi-tenant architectures and scalable systems handling 1000+ requests per minute.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, and Cognito.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with education platforms or SaaS tools for service businesses.
  • Experience with event brokers such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
