Job Overview: We seek an exceptional Lab Manager to lead our state-of-the-art laboratories in Darjeeling Climate Action Lab (D-CAL). The successful candidate will oversee efficient laboratory operations, ensuring timely and accurate sample preparation and analysis in compliance with registry guidelines.
Using cutting-edge equipment like ICP-OES, ICP-MS, IR-MS, and HR-MS, the ideal candidate will maintain operational excellence and drive groundbreaking research in climate action. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily laboratory activities, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety protocol adherence.
The selected individual will collaborate closely with field teams, train and onboard new lab members, and act as the primary liaison with external vendors. With a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities, this role will support research associates in their scientific endeavors, contributing significantly to Alt Carbon's efforts to combat climate change.
Key Challenges:
In this dynamic startup environment, efficient laboratory operations are crucial for advancing MRV (Measurement, Reporting and Verification) and climate action initiatives. The Darjeeling Climate Action Lab requires meticulous oversight to ensure high-quality sample analysis, adherence to registry guidelines, and seamless functioning of cutting-edge equipment.
This role addresses the challenges of managing complex workflows, meeting strict timelines, and supporting pioneering research that drives innovation in carbon removal solutions.

About the Opportunity:

What We Offer:
