Role Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join BG Renewable Engineering Services Private Limited, based in Bangalore. In this role, you will provide crucial support to the Finance Manager of our holding company, Brighter Green Engineering (BGE), located in the United Kingdom. You will play a key role in managing the financial operations for BGE’s UK business, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and delivering insightful analysis to guide business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong financial expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with teams across different time zones. The role will operate in a shift schedule of IST +4:30, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST , aligning with the UK business hours.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive support to the Finance Manager of BGE UK, assisting with the efficient management and execution of all finance-related activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Raise and track purchase orders, accurately input purchase invoices into the accounting system, and monitor the completion of remedial works to ensure proper accounting of related expenses. Assist field staff with completing and submitting expense claims via the Concur system, ensuring accurate processing in the accounting system.
- Manage payment runs using online banking, reconcile credit card statements with receipts, and input transactions into the accounting system. Allocate payments and receipts within the cashbook and ensure accurate bank statement reconciliations.
- Generate sales invoices, monitor outstanding debts, and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely resolution and accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and various monthly MIS reports to provide clear and insightful performance updates for Board presentations.
- Provide ad hoc accounting support as required, and assist with additional tasks as directed by the Finance Manager, ensuring all deliverables are met with precision.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including compliance with anti-bribery regulations.
Qualifications & Skills required
- A relevant university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Part or fully qualified CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Prior experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong IT skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with computerized accounting systems.
- Proactive with strong organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented, focused, and committed to delivering accurate results with meticulous attention to detail.
