Job Description: Corporate Chief Engineer

The role of the Corporate Chief Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the optimal functioning of MEP systems across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing and standardizing engineering policies, leading capital expenditure projects, setting benchmarks and KPIs for property-level engineering teams, and providing strategic leadership to all engineering teams.

Maintenance & Operations
  • Oversight of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordination with resort teams to promptly resolve issues and maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
Energy & Sustainability
  • Driving energy conservation initiatives to minimize environmental impact and reduce costs.
  • Implementation of sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to promote eco-friendliness.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance across all properties through regular audits and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conducting thorough audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary measures.
Team Development & Management
  • Recruitment, training, and mentoring of engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Promotion of a culture that values safety, service, and innovation, driving team members to excel in their roles.
Budgeting & Financial Management
  • Management of annual engineering budgets to optimize resource allocation and minimize expenses.
  • Approval of expenditures for maintenance and capital projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in hospitality engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions.
