Job Overview

As a Senior Cassandra DBA, you will play a pivotal role in managing our data storage and intelligence platforms. You will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and scaling our most critical databases across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to manage production SQL-based and NoSQL databases.
  • Manage mission-critical high transaction rate databases, including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting, and backup of both traditional SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade nodes in high availability customer production clusters.
  • Oversee the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security of an international 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure powering various services.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting in the production environment.
  • Contribute to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure operations standards are observed, determine resource impacts for upcoming product deployments, and ensure successful product rollouts.
