Job Title: Enterprise Database Specialist

Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled database administrator to manage large-scale databases.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for high-performance applications. They should have hands-on experience in PostgreSQL on Linux environments, as well as familiarity with tools such as timesqldb and related toolkits.

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize large-scale PostgreSQL databases for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Perform advanced query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies for high-availability applications.
  • Implement and monitor robust database backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize timesqldb, toolkit, and monitoring utilities to proactively manage database performance and availability.
  • Ensure database reliability, scalability, and high-availability in production environments.
  • Support database upgrades, patching, and migration activities to maintain compatibility and efficiency.

Mandatory Skills:

  • PostgreSQL DBA expertise.
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning.
  • Hands-on with Linux environment.
  • Proven work with timesqldb and related toolkit utilities.
  • Ability to handle large databases efficiently.

Good to Have:

  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering techniques.
  • Experience in automation and scripting using various languages.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools to ensure proactive issue resolution.
