Lead Electronics Engineering Manager

\

The position is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and testing of power electronic systems. This includes leading a team of engineers, managing projects, fostering innovation with new technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with other departments to bring products from concept to manufacturing.

\

The company plans to build prototypes for different applications and develop design specifications for third-party manufacturers. You will develop vendor relationships and assure process and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the team\
  • Define and lead the R&D strategy to develop products meeting application requirements and achieve certification\
  • Develop a manufacturing roadmap to support the execution of the product roadmap\
  • Oversee design, development, and testing of power electronic circuits, converters, inverters, controls, software, and integrated systems\
  • Lead the creation of BOMs, test specifications, and technical documentation, and mfg documentation\
  • Strong working knowledge of power-electronics selection and layout for switching devices and circuits\
  • Knowledge of mitigation of EMI/EMC issues with power electronics circuits desired\
  • Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team including electronics/electrical engineers, embedded software/hardware developers, and test engineers\
  • Project Management: Manage R&D project portfolios including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management\
  • Ensure timely delivery of prototypes, validation, and product transfer to manufacturing\
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product feasibility, manufacturability, and quality standards\
  • Engage with external partners, academia, and technology vendors to leverage new knowledge and partnerships\
