Job Description

The role involves overseeing the design and implementation of HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Responsibilities include conceptualizing designs based on final architectural drawings, preparing documents for sanction purposes, and attending design review meetings.

Maintaining documentation of all design materials and drawings is also a key aspect of this role.

  • Developing As-Built drawings with the in-house team.
  • Preparing BOQ estimates, technical specifications, and tender drawings.
  • Conducting quality checks and inspections at construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing HVAC systems in accordance with ASHRAE/ISHRAE standards.
  • Calculating heating and cooling needs, designing HVAC systems, and proposing new products and technologies.
  • Conducting techno-commercial evaluations, proposing energy-saving designs, and calculating ventilation requirements.
  • Coordinating with architects and engineers, and studying architectural and structural drawings.
  • Preparing detailed design inputs, monitoring drawing progress, and preparing requirement lists for architects.
  • Conceptualizing designs based on final architectural drawings, preparing documents for sanction purposes, and attending design review meetings.
  • Obtaining sign-offs on concept designs, preparing design brief reports, and detailing designs as per approved concepts.
  • Checking drawings, submitting commitments, and preparing HVAC duct routes and equipment layouts in Revit/BIM.
Construction Administration

  • Evaluating test reports, overseeing construction of HVAC systems, and reviewing equipment and material submittals.
  • Assisting and resolving HVAC issues during/after construction, completing construction visits, and addressing issues regarding HVAC systems.
Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance with project timelines, communicating with teams and departments to aid in architectural and engineering design.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience. Working knowledge of Revit is required.
