Data Specialist

Designing and building scalable data pipelines is a crucial part of our organization. As a Data Engineer, you will work on maintaining reliable, high-quality data systems that power analytics, insights, and decision-making.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows using expertise in Python, Java, or Scala programming languages.
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs and implement optimized performance for data systems, queries, and storage solutions.
  • Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and governance across all databases.
  • Document comprehensive data workflows and schemas while staying up-to-date with the latest trends in data engineering and cloud technologies.
  • Experience working with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure is also required.
  • Knowledge of modern data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect is beneficial.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role.
  • Strong programming skills are essential for this position.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning pipelines and model deployment is an added advantage.
  • Advanced certifications in cloud or big data platforms can be beneficial.
