Job Opportunity: Unit HR Head

This role encompasses leading the Human Resource function in a unit. The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Talent Acquisition and Development: This involves coordinating with consultants to fill vacancies promptly, managing application databases, liaising with institutes for certifications, conducting assessment centers, evaluating advertisement needs, and ensuring induction schedules are prepared.
    • Workforce Planning: This entails allocating staff members across sub-departments based on strengths, weaknesses, customer interaction levels, ROM, and UM. Additionally, it includes ensuring manpower availability, adhering to budget constraints, performing periodic availability studies, providing feedback, and finding solutions.
    • Training and Capability Development: This involves preparing training calendars after collecting data, developing modules on specific areas, ensuring internal training infrastructure is in place, collaborating with external consultants for specialized training, negotiating rates, and ensuring smooth execution.
    • Payroll Administration: This requires ensuring error-free and timely updates of employee data and completing payroll inputs within specified timelines.
    • Employee Engagement and Welfare: This involves communicating policies, clarifying queries, handling grievances through coaching and counseling, connecting employees with institutions, executing employee engagement activities, and implementing unit-led awards.
    • Compliance and Governance: This includes liaising with consultants for statutory compliance and ensuring timely filing of returns.
    • Performance Management and Retention: This involves communicating appraisal schedules, conducting performance appraisal workshops, ensuring regular follow-ups, reviewing appraisal forms, normalizing ratings, sending collated data, and counseling employees post increments.
