Job Title: Engineering Manager

Job Summary
  • A highly skilled and experienced professional is required to lead the engineering activities, ensuring technical quality and enabling overall site/project objectives.
  • This role involves planning and coordination of maintenance and calibration activities, project execution, and continuous improvement at site level (e.g., buildings, process equipment, utilities, automation).
  • The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, GMP, and safety-compliant maintenance of engineering equipment, leveraging expert knowledge, documentation, and education on engineering procedures and sequences.
  • Additional responsibilities include design, execution, and hand-over of mid-size investment projects within cost, time schedule, quality, and functionality.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Senior Engineer: Support internal and external audits, own the training curriculum for your job profile, lead or contribute to equipment, utility, facility improvement projects (e.g., energy efficiency, productivity, environmental compliance, maintenance), get permits for maintenance/calibration/projects, develop project cost estimation and value improvement review, and identify technical solutions.
  2. Maintenance Coordinator: Ensure equipment operates to required HSE, Quality, Environmental, and Reliability standards, support internal and external audits, implement GOPs, manage maintenance improvement projects and initiatives (local or corporate), establish maintenance and calibration plan content, enter master data into CMMS, coordinate maintenance/calibration activities, plan resources for maintenance/calibration, allocate work for maintenance/calibration to technicians.
  3. Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager Operations: Identify key compliance issues and suggest suitable solutions, determine measures to eliminate safety and GMP problems in the technical sector, manage resources to ensure retrospective and prospective qualification of engineering installations, maintain documentation and preserve know-how regarding engineering procedures/sequences, organize maintenance to ensure conservation of value, availability of machines assigned, act as contact engineer for machines assigned, ensure appropriate management and development of subordinate employees.
  4. Other Roles: Manage ad-hoc projects, compile regulations and principles, support building organizational culture in line with Novartis V&D Other roles involve managing and executing projects in alignment with key local and global stakeholders, ensuring state-of-the-art technical solutions according to compliance standards and HSE regulations.
