Senior Engineer Position

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in planning, coordinating and executing maintenance activities. He/She should be able to lead or contribute to equipment, utility, facility improvement projects and get permits for maintenance/calibration/projects.

Key responsibilities include developing project cost estimation and value improvement review, identifying technical solutions, preparing project procurement plans, performing project tendering and procurement, and managing resources to ensure both retrospective and prospective qualification of engineering installations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining documentation and preserving know-how regarding engineering procedures/sequences, organizing maintenance to ensure conservation of value, availability of the machines assigned, and acting as contact engineer for the machines assigned.

Additionally, he/she will manage ad-hoc projects, compile regulations and principles, support building organizational culture in line with Novartis values, and execute projects according to life cycle costs and project schedules.

Desirable skills include API development, automation, back-end development, business continuity, change control, chemistry, design development, electronic components, general HSE knowledge, including GDP, Java programming language, knowledge of CAPA, knowledge of GMP, Kubernetes, managing performance improvement, manufacturing production, mathematical optimization, project commissioning, project engineering, project execution, ReactJS, risk management, root cause analysis (RCA), scheduler, Scrum methodology, software development, and software engineering.
