We are seeking a senior Kafka Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Kafka clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.

This position requires strong technical expertise in Kafka administration, including installation, configuration, and management of brokers, topics, ACLs, schema registry, connectors, and control center. Additionally, experience with big data & Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Spark, Linux/Unix systems, Windows Server, shell/Python scripting, automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cluster Administration: Install, configure, and manage large-scale Kafka clusters ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Upgrade and Patch Management: Perform upgrades and patches to maintain cluster stability and security.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance metrics, collect data, and optimize configurations for optimal cluster operation.
  • Automation and DevOps: Automate Kafka cluster installations, topic/Acl/connector deployments using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Collaboration and Expertise: Provide Kafka expertise to developers, maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Strong Kafka Administration Skills: Experience with Kafka installation, configuration, and management, including brokers, topics, ACLs, schema registry, connectors, and control center.
  • Big Data & Hadoop Ecosystem: Knowledge of big data processing, storage, and analysis, including Hadoop, Spark, and related tools.
  • Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in shell/Python scripting, programming languages, and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Cloud and On-Premises Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS MSK) and on-premises environments, including Linux/Unix systems and Windows Server.
Good to Have:
  • IBM MQ/RabbitMQ Experience: Experience working with message queues, including IBM MQ and RabbitMQ.
  • Elasticsearch/Kubernetes/ServiceNow: Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and ServiceNow can be beneficial.
