Air Export Operations Job Overview

As a skilled Air Export Operations professional, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing air export shipments to ensure timely delivery. Your role will involve coordinating with shippers, consignees, and carriers to arrange bookings, pickups, and deliveries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination and Execution: Develop and implement effective shipment strategies to meet client needs and expectations. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements by working closely with customs brokers and regulatory bodies.

  • Customer Service and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their shipments, providing regular updates and handling inquiries. Foster strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met or exceeded.

  • Carrier and Vendor Management: Build and maintain partnerships with airlines, ground handlers, and other vendors to negotiate competitive pricing and service levels. Monitor and manage costs associated with air export operations to optimize profitability.

  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all export shipments and documentation, ensuring proper filing and storage for easy retrieval and compliance audits.

  • Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Identify potential issues or risks in the shipment process, such as delays or customs issues. Develop contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain.
