Structured Finance Associate Role

The role of a Structured Finance Associate involves working closely with clients to understand their investment deal requirements in structured finance. The individual will play a key role in onboarding, monitoring and risk management for institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard client portfolios by reviewing legal agreements and servicer/trustee reporting.
  • Support clients in risk and exposure monitoring of transactions.
  • Calculate and monitor covenants, concentration limits, eligibility criteria, and other key metrics/tests.
  • Lead daily operations of workstreams and ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
  • Liaise with Business Analysts and Implementation teams to ensure data accuracy on proprietary platforms.
  • Mentor team members to improve learning curves.
  • Provide enhanced surveillance to clients on portfolio performance and share critical aspects proactively.
  • Assist in standardizing and streamlining processes to increase efficiencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of structured finance products, corporate credit landscape, and ABL/CLO/Middle Market Portfolio Financing.
  • In-depth financial knowledge, including accounting concepts and MS Excel proficiency.
  • Familiarity with financial databases, such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Factiva.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Desired candidate has an MBA or advanced degree in finance (CFA, CAIA, FRM).
  • Prior experience in an Investment Bank, Investment Management firm, or Financial Advisory firm is preferred.
