Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Risk Management professional to join our team at Ameriprise India LLP. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the 'Risks & Controls' function for the Business Unit (BU), ensuring the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of potential risks, as well as the implementation and maintenance of effective control structures.

Main Responsibilities

Process/Procedure Inventory Management: Ensure the effectiveness and relevance of business processes and procedures, and conduct ongoing evaluations to ensure the inventory is adequate and covers all existing and new areas.
Risk & Controls Management: Conduct ongoing risk assessments, work with business leaders and process owners to review and update the Risks & Controls Inventory, and establish and maintain controls to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness.
Change Management: Ensure process implementation for each applicable item, including pre- and post-change implementation steps, and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure all sign-offs are taken and retained for record purposes.
Feedback Sharing/Manage Consequence Management Process: Provide detailed and constructive feedback on process deviations and work with employees and teams to close gaps, and implement the Consequence Management Process as applicable.
BU Awareness/Coaching: Drive a stronger culture of compliance through reiteration of critical to-dos, policy and process updates, and themes derived from internal checks.
Projects & Initiatives: Support as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on critical areas such as BUCL, LEAN, ADTRAX, and ISO, and suggest creative ways to enhance control effectiveness and eliminate/minimize risk.
Skill-set Upgradation: Stay up-to-date on all aspects and ensure support to teams on relevant areas, contributing to value addition.
Administrative work: Respond to emails and manage training completion.

Required Qualifications

Graduation
Deep understanding of business policies, procedures, and processes, and applicable risks and controls
Thought Leadership Skills to manage risks and controls appropriately, think out of the box to eliminate/minimize risks, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls
Results Leadership Skills to manage execution of KRAs/Projects/Initiatives, end-to-end, and deliver results as expected
People Leadership Skills to drive a strong culture of compliance by working with employees, leaders, and business partners
Self Leadership Skills to ensure timely completion of projects/initiatives on a consistent basis
Coaching/Effective feedback delivery skills
MS Office skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Attitude to go above and beyond to help the team meet/exceed objectives
