As a strategic business partner, the Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's workforce. Key responsibilities include talent acquisition and onboarding, payroll and benefits management, compliance and regulatory affairs, HR operations and employee relations, and people development and performance.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding- Own full lifecycle recruitment
- Sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and offer negotiation for various roles including shop-floor, technical, supervisory, and corporate positions.
- Collaborate closely with business heads and project managers to understand headcount plans and skills requirements.
- Manage agency/vendor relationships
- Campus drives, employee referrals, external sourcing channels, and vendor management.
- Ensure effective onboarding and induction
- Documentation, background verification, and timely resolution of onboarding queries.
- End-to-end payroll processing
- Monthly payroll cycle, salary calculations, reimbursements, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors/software and validate payroll outputs for accuracy and timeliness.
- Salary structuring, increments, and joining/exit settlements
- Payroll reconciliations, employee benefits administration, and timely resolution of payroll queries.
- Ensure statutory compliance across labour laws
- PF, ESI, professional tax, and any state-specific regulations relevant to manufacturing and staffing.
- Maintain accurate employee records and statutory registers
- Timely filings and returns in coordination with vendors/consultants.
- Administer HR policies, employment contracts, attendance, leave management, shift rosters, and contract manpower compliance
- Manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and exit interviews; recommend retention and corrective measures.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives
- Periodic townhalls, communication for multi-site teams, and HR MIS management.
- Support performance management cycles, promotions, succession planning, and training needs identification
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2–4 years in staffing operations or in HR roles supporting large staffing/manufacturing projects.
- Master's in HR / MBA-HR preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian labour laws, PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, and compliance for contract manpower.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and popular HRMS/payroll tools (experience coordinating with payroll vendors).
- Strong recruiting experience across blue-collar, technical, and mid-level roles — ability to manage high volume hiring.
- Excellent stakeholder management — able to partner with operations, project managers, and external vendors.
- Good MS Excel and HR MIS skills; familiarity with ATS/HRMS systems.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi; comfortable visiting/managing multiple plant sites.
- High attention to detail, ethical integrity, and ability to manage confidential information.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working directly for a staffing firm or RPO servicing manufacturing clients.
- Exposure to multi-state operations and handling statutory variations across states.
- Certification in labour law or payroll is a plus.
