We are seeking a seasoned business valuation professional to join our team. As a Business Valuation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and guidance on the valuation of businesses.

  • Extract and map data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and tools
  • Conduct research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation
  • Identify and implement appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements
  • Assist in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions
  • Contribute to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language
  • Prioritize projects and participate in scheduling meetings
  • Oversee all stages of the valuation project life cycle, apply appropriate valuation methodologies, reconcile value indications, and prepare and finalize the first draft of valuation reports
  • Establish and manage a team over time, demonstrating strong leadership, team building, and people management capabilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting or finance
