Senior QA Engineer - Embedded Software and GPU
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall quality assurance strategy and frameworks for testing embedded and GPU-based software products. This includes evaluating and improving existing QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- QA Strategy and Frameworks: Develop and implement the overall QA strategy and frameworks for testing embedded and GPU-based software products.
- Evaluate and Improve QA Methodologies: Evaluate and improve existing QA methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with software developers, program managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to incorporate their feedback into test strategy and design.
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test suites, and test cases that cover functional and non-functional requirements.
- Debugging and Analysis: Analyze and debug complex failure scenarios in the embedded and GPU software environment.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to QA engineers and other stakeholders on best practices, testing methodologies, and tools used in the QA process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years of related experience, including proven experience in a QA Architect or Senior Technical QA Engineer role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
- Embedded Software Knowledge: Expertise in embedded software process, systems architecture, and GPU technologies, including programming skills such as C, C++, and Python.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with various embedded and GPU hardware platforms and wide variety of operating systems (Linux and Windows) variants.
- AI/ML Knowledge: Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, models, and datacenter tools.
- Automated Testing Tools: Experience with automated testing tools as well as experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines process.
- Version Control Systems: Expertise with version control systems like Git, and bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
