AV/ADAS Test Engineer Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the development and validation of autonomous vehicle (AV) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for AV/ADAS functions, encompassing adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, autonomous emergency braking, and automated parking assist.
  • Validate perception, planning, and control algorithms in both simulated and real-world environments.
  • Collaborate with sensor technologies, including RADAR, LIDAR, and cameras, to create and execute tests.
  • Apply knowledge of automotive standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, to guarantee system reliability.
  • Design simulations for closed-loop testing involving perception, localization, and planning modules.
  • Document test results and report bugs using a dedicated tool.
  • Analyze test data to identify issues and ensure system reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4-8 years of experience in testing and validation of AV/ADAS functions.
  • A strong understanding of perception, planning, and control algorithms.
  • Experience with sensor technologies, including RADAR, LIDAR, and cameras.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
