Investment Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our investment team in Mercer.

This role will be based in Gurgaon and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

About This Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting analysis and research at every stage of the investment decision, risk management and investment monitoring process for a portfolio of clients.

This will involve focusing on various aspects of institutional investing, including data collection and analysis, investment strategies research, performance reporting and related investment consulting support functions.

  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports for Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit and Delegated Solution plans.
  • Analyze performance of different investment options and overall plan.
  • Communicate with investment and custodians to gather and/or clarify client specific data for reporting.
  • Client communications and reviews, managing ramp-ups and ongoing transitions.
  • Define, delegate, monitor and participate in employee engagement activities.
  • Responsible for mentoring and leading a team of analysts across different processes.
  • Own accountability by being able to help teams troubleshoot issues on projects.
  • Responsible for driving Process Improvements.
  • Manage relationship with BusinessProcess Owners and senior management.
  • Ensure exceptional client experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and client policies.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate (B.com, BBA or equivalent)/ Master's degree in finance (in addition to accounting, economics or mathematics) and progress towards CFA and CIPM will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding and proper usage of investment-related terminology in written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in analyzing investment portfolios or researching investment managers located outside of India.
  • Computations of returns (money weighted / time weighted) for Defined Benefit and NFP clients.
  • Exposure to Global Capital Markets and working knowledge of various Asset Classes and Investment Strategies and performance attribution.
  • Good command on MS Office applications.
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and perform under strict deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, business communication, and time management skills.
