Procurement Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee our procurement and supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in procurement and supply chain management.

About the Role
  • Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions to meet business objectives.
  • Vendor Performance:
    • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address any issues or concerns.
  • Purchase Operations:
    • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals.
    • Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
    • Coordinate with stores/warehouse for replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
    • Develop and execute strategies to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, invoices, GRNs, contracts).
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and audit requirements.
    • Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and reconciliations.
  • Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with production, quality, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
    • Resolve material-related issues with suppliers and internal departments.
