Underwriting Enablement Specialist

Job Overview:

  • This role focuses on translating underwriting expertise into actionable training materials and quality standards to empower underwriters in making informed decisions.

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Enablement Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive training programs, playbooks, and quality standards that enable underwriters to effectively review and approve loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality training content, including manuals, guides, and checklists, to educate underwriters on key concepts and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards and playbooks to ensure consistency and accuracy in underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement training programs that meet business needs.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to inform training and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience in retail or home loan underwriting, with a strong background in decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven track record of training or mentoring others, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies, such as credit bureau reports and loan origination systems.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional language proficiency a plus.
