About The Role:
We seek a Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist with 12+ years of experience in digital banking, looking to expand their knowledge base and make a lasting impact.
- Develop high-quality test strategies, plans, cases, and ensure complete execution.
- Analyze documents, testing requirements, assess their impact on test plans and schedules.
- Define, design, and deliver all testing work, including functional, system integration testing.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, system testing.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (undertaken by subject matter experts within the business).
- Organize and maintain the test script library.
- Monitor, measure, control, and report to management on test progress, product quality, test results, and completion.
- Target 'Zero UAT defects' for delivered software applications to customers. Take responsibility and initiative in job decision-making and implementation phases, analyzing data to determine application quality levels based on objective metrics.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, defect triage calls.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers/clients for defect management.
- Lead QA activities for one or more projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance to test teams on best practices.
- Work closely with analysts, developers, project managers to ensure software applications are delivered on time and meet quality targets.
- The candidate must be available during IST hours, with additional availability during Canadian time zones (EST/EDT) based on project needs and team collaboration requirements.
- A minimum of 10 working days per month must be aligned with Canadian business hours to support collaboration with North American teams, attend meetings, and ensure project alignment.
- Flexibility in schedule management is essential to maintain effective communication and delivery across time zones.
- Experience with software testing concepts, STLC, SDLC.
- Experience with test planning, developing test strategies, and quality reporting.
- Experience with methods, tools, and technologies used in software testing.
- Expertise and knowledge of black box test techniques.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients.
- Knowledge of SQL query language and scripting.
- Practical knowledge of using developer tools (JavaScript Debug, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
- Ability to test Web Service APIs (REST/SOAP) using SoapUI/Posman, etc.
- Ability to search logs or crash reports to help isolate and identify root causes of issues.
- Experience with automation testing is a plus.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals.
- Experience in Web and Mobile Functional Testing.
- Fluent in writing and speaking English.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for Quality Assurance Specialists to collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
