Job Description:

The role of a Portfolio Director involves overseeing the strategic management of multiple programs and portfolios, with a focus on delivering value to stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

A key responsibility of this role is to develop and implement strategic plans for program delivery, taking into account stakeholder engagement, financial accountability, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in architecting complex dashboards using Power BI or other tools, as well as a strong understanding of medical device product development and regulatory processes.

In addition to these technical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence all customers. They will also be an independent thinker, able to take a commercial and operational view of complex situations.

  • Manage multiple small-scale to large-scale programs with defined plans and methodologies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through product development to ensure project success.
  • Develop and manage portfolio-level AOP/Budget.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and obtain engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • 18+ years of overall IT experience, with 10+ years of project management experience in medical device industry.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting complex dashboards using Power BI or other tools.
  • Certifications: PMP/ equivalent, CSM, SAFe/RTE or handling ART Experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (optional).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and ProChain scheduling methodologies.
