Job Opportunity

We seek a pioneering leader to head the School of Government at MIT WPU.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will build a comprehensive vision for the school, defining its medium and long-term academic and research direction and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Strategic Leadership: Oversee academic programs, develop strategic plans, and continuously evaluate the vision and mission of the Institute.
  • 2. Curriculum Development: Design high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of governance with a global perspective.
  • 3. Social Initiatives: Lead and drive various social initiatives, including advocacy and community engagement.
  • 4. Faculty Management: Plan manpower needs, recruit high-calibre faculty, and focus on continuous faculty development programs.
  • 5. Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with stakeholders to understand their changing needs and incorporate them into developing the curriculum.
  • 6. Alumni Relations: Engage alumni for mutual benefit.
  • 7. Research Advocacy: Track legislative and policy issues related to the field and develop strategies to inform the board, management, and staff.

Qualification & Experience:

  • PhD in Political Science/Public Policy/Law.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in academic leadership.
  • Age less than 50 years as on the date of appointment.
