Job Title: Ignition SCADA Specialist

About the Role:

  • Design, configure and deploy Ignition SCADA and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization and reporting solutions for industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Operational Technology (OT) systems with Enterprise IT systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA, MES and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases.
  • Implement secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT and OPC Unified Architecture protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.

Requirements:

  1. A strong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems functions, production tracking, Overall Equipment Effectiveness analysis, traceability, Statistical Process Control, etc.
  2. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  3. Hands-on experience with OT-IT integration technologies including REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA.
  4. Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA Human Machine Interfaces and plant floor connectivity.
  5. Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  7. Experience with cloud-based Industrial Internet of Things platforms Azure IoT, AWS IoT etc.
  8. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  9. Familiarity with containerization Docker, Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments.
  10. Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects.
  11. Certifications in Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
