We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in manual and automation testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) for scalable product delivery.
  • Perform thorough manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality products across web, API, and integration layers.
  • Write clear feature files with business-oriented scenarios and maintain reusable step definitions for efficient test coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Implement and maintain Page Object Model (POM) for scalable and maintainable automation.
  • Develop core framework utilities such as wrappers, waits, retry mechanisms, and driver handling for smooth test execution.

Required Skills & Expertise

Core Automation Skills:

  • Selenium WebDriver: In-depth knowledge of WebDriver APIs, custom waits, element handling, synchronization issues, stale elements, and workarounds.
  • BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin): Writing business-readable feature files and mapping steps correctly for reusability and modularity.
  • Java (or framework language): Strong OOP concepts, clean code practices with SOLID principles, exception handling, and custom exception creation.

Framework & Layer-Specific Skills:

  • Step Definitions: Designing high-level steps without mixing UI locator logic, ensuring modularity and reusability.
  • Page Object Model (POM): Understanding of POM & Page Factory, writing maintainable locators, encapsulating UI interactions, and handling dynamic elements and reusable components.
  • Core Framework (Wrappers, Waiters, Driver handling): Building wrapper methods around Selenium APIs, implementing custom waits, retry mechanisms, and driver utilities, and extending WebDriver with custom elements where needed.

Additional Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, UAT).
  • Experience in API testing using Postman/RestAssured.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test design, and defect management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
