Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Executive to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the overall procurement process.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing strategic sourcing initiatives, conducting research, negotiating with vendors, evaluating bids, analyzing data, and developing and implementing procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devising and utilizing effective procurement and sourcing strategies to drive business growth
  • Exploring profitable suppliers and initiating procurement partnerships to enhance the supply chain
  • BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH VENDORS IN THE INDUSTRY TO ENSURE LONG-TERM COLLABORATIONS
  • Preparing block estimates for all projects and obtaining necessary approvals from stakeholders
  • PREPARING BILLS OF QUANTITY (BOQs) AND OBTAINING NECESSARY APPROVALS FROM ALL STAKEHOLDERS
  • SEEKING PROPOSALS AS PER BOQs
  • Comparing proposals for price and specifications
  • Negotiating with vendors to reduce costs through techno-commercial negotiations
  • REVIEWING CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE
  • Assisting in the finalization of vendors and ensuring timely delivery of products

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and techniques
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
