Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing purchasing operations, fostering strong vendor relationships, and ensuring timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize purchasing operations, ensuring timely access to required goods and services.
  • Support new product development initiatives by providing procurement insights and expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, securing favourable terms through effective negotiation and evaluation of potential new suppliers.
  • Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to ensure procured products meet required standards and specifications.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring business continuity and minimizing losses.
  • Provide actionable procurement insights to cross-functional teams, informing strategic decision-making and driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a track record of delivering results and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong vendor relationships and secure favourable terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
