Senior Infrastructure Operations Specialist

As a key member of our IT team, the Senior Infrastructure Operations Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and management of our enterprise-class servers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support to various stakeholders, including systems analysts, developers, business analysts, and project teams.

  • Provide proactive and reactive incident resolution support within the Operations Center, leveraging expertise in system performance metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure event correlation and trend analysis are performed on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the quality and delivery of technical operations supporting the business align with agreed standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support, including writing, executing, and peer reviewing Infrastructure Operations playbooks.
  • Manage server and service configuration per ticket requests, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Perform weekly checks on system memory, CPU, disk, NFS, and NTP, and fix according to policy.
  • Develop and maintain inventory data for all servers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of IT administration experience, preferably with a Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Windows, and Nutanix.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, including Azure, Oracle Cloud, and GCP or AWS.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, patching, and support for Windows & Linux environments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
