We are seeking a seasoned Rail Logistics Manager to oversee the movement of iron ore through rail networks.

Job Summary:

  • This senior role is responsible for liaising with Indian Railways and other relevant authorities to ensure efficient and cost-effective rail logistics operations.
  • The successful candidate will coordinate and monitor the movement of iron ore rakes, resolving any operational issues that may arise.
  • Maintenance of regular communication with railway officials to track rake allocation and movement status is essential for this role.
  • This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with Indian Railways and other relevant authorities to ensure the availability and smooth operation of railway rakes.
  2. Coordinate and monitor the movement of iron ore through rail logistics efficiently and cost-effectively.
  3. Maintain regular communication with railway officials to track rake allocation and movement status.
  4. Resolve any on-ground operational issues related to rail logistics.
  5. Ensure compliance with logistical regulations and safety standards.
  6. Prepare reports and documentation related to rake movements and logistics performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in railway logistics, preferably in the mining or iron ore sector.
  • Strong network and liaison capabilities with railway departments.
  • Good understanding of rail freight operations and logistics planning.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and solve operational challenges swiftly.
