Job Description:

As a seasoned Ruby on Rails expert, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of large-scale web applications. Your expertise in designing, implementing, and deploying features and enhancements will be invaluable to our team.

Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development, with strong knowledge of Sinatra.
  • Proven expertise in working with microservices-based architectures, including familiarity with Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SOLR for search and AWS services (especially AWS SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure).
  • Experience with security practices, including bot mitigation using Cloudflare or similar.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills, with experience working in agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with prior experience in healthcare technology platforms highly valued.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Developing and maintaining large-scale web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy features and enhancements.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and growth.
  • Contributing to the development of documentation, guides, and other resources to support team members and ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Participating in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues, resolving problems efficiently, and escalating when necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized codebase, adhering to established coding conventions.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
